This ABC television production was broadcast on Saturday nights, debuting on 18 June 1966 and running for seven weeks.

In a pub, on a train, or even just walking down the street, Tommy Cooper had his own unique way of getting in – and out of – impossible situations. Some of the sketches were strictly of the end-of-the-pier variety but Cooper had a bigness and an exuberance that was almost impossible to subdue.

Guests included Acker Bilk, Warren Mitchell, Petula Clark, Alfie Bass, Clive Dunn, Bob Todd, Henry Cooper, Anita Harris, Aubrey Morris, Dilys Watling, Patrick Newell and Harry Fowler.
