    14 x 30 minute episodes

In his ATV variety show, Dickie Valentine (born Richard Maxwell in 1929) was joined by pianist Sid Boatman, bandleader Jack Parnell, vocal backing group The Breakaways, and dance troupe Pans People.

He invited a pop star on to the show each week, and his guests included Lulu, Tom Jones, The Shadows, Cleo Laine and Engelbert Humperdinck.

Valentine was killed in a car crash on a single lane bridge at Glangrwyney, near Crickhowell, Wales on 6 May 1971 on his way home from a gig at the Double Diamond Club in Caerphilly. He was 41. His pianist (Sid Boatman) and drummer (Dave Pearson) also died in the accident.
