This variety series of Saturday night mini-musicals from Australia’s ABC-TV starred Reg Livermore.
Reg had a girl next door – Geraldine (Sue Walker) – who loved him, but he chased after older women in dream sequences (requiring many sets) with much contrived and slow dialogue. The dream girls were played by Toni Lamond, Ruth Cracknell and Shirley Cameron.
Ric Hutton was also a regular cast member as the other man who invariably won the girls of Reg’s Walter Mitty-like dreams.
Written by Maurice Wiltshire and directed by Maurice Murphy, the show was overproduced with laborious formulaic scripting. Music for the show was played by a 21-piece orchestra conducted by Laurie Lewis.
Dances were performed by the William Gill Dancers.
