    13 x 15 minute episodes

The Yorkshire Television children’s series Jimmy Green and His Time Machine debuted on 29 July 1968 – the same day Yorkshire Television was launched.

Young Jimmy Green travelled through time and found himself at various important historical events, such as the burning of Rome while Emperor Nero fiddled.

Accompanying Jimmy on his travels were Lettice and Maggot.

Jess Yates produced the programme, and the puppets were made and operated by Eric Bramall and Chris Somerville of the Harlequin Puppet Theatre in North Wales, who were also responsible for Sugarball The Little Jungle Boy (1968), Hubble Bubble (1969) and Mr Trimble (1971)
