The “short fat comedian” Joe Baker starred in his own 30-minute ATV variety show – written by John Warren and John Singer – with help from Gerald Harper, Geoffrey Palmer and leggy Shona Lesley.
Other regular guests included Bill Maxim, Frederic Abbott, John Barratt, John Henderson, Henry Wolfe, Donald Groves, Sally Bradley, Audrey Bailey and Christine Pockett.
Musical accompaniment was from Jack Parnell and his orchestra.
Baker emigrated to California in 1975 and appeared regularly on programmes such as Hollywood Squares.
Baker died in California in 2001, aged 73.
