All-American Boy John Davidson – a little-known (in Britain) 27-year-old American country and western artist who was a cross between Glen Campbell and Pat Boone – starred in this British-made series, filmed at Elstree Studios and produced by ATV and the American ABC network.
The thirteen episodes cost £60,000 each, and Davidson was joined each week by French singer Mirelle Mathieu, Aimi MacDonald and American comedian/impersonator Rich Little. Other regulars were the Mike Sammes Singers, Jack Parnell and his Orchestra, and the Irving Davies Dancers.
