A group of actors mimed a cartoon, and a panel of four guest comedians were then invited to rearrange the characters in a different situation.
The panel for the first episode consisted of Dora Bryan, Kenneth Williams, Bill Owen, and Barry Took. Other guest panellists included Spike Milligan, Bob Monkhouse, Beryl Reid, Kenneth Horne, Mike & Bernie Winters, Bernard Bresslaw, Ted Ray, Jimmy Edwards, Terry Scott, Frank Muir, Dick Emery, Bill Maynard, Stanley Baxter, Ronald Shiner, Charlie Chester, and Ted Carson.
The British version of the show was hosted initially by Digby Wolfe and then by Pete Murray and Peter Haigh in succession.
Harold Smart and Jackie Brown played the organ.
