This short-lived comedy series from BBC1 starred Irene Handl (pictured above) as Crystal Pallise who made a living by letting out rooms in her house to lodgers. Her less than bright son Leonard (Bernard Bresslaw, pictured above right) was trying to establish himself as an actor.
One day, Crystal’s other son, Robin Fosdyke (Pete Murray, pictured above left) arrived at the house unexpectedly and became something of a “cuckoo in the nest”.
The unremarkable series was written by Jimmy Grafton and Jeremy Lloyd and aired on Wednesday nights at 8:20 pm.
Guest stars included Wanda Ventham, Dana Gillespie and Ballard Berkeley.
