Hoping to secure a position as a writer with Manhattan magazine in New York, Christine submits a story idea.
Editor Paul Belzer (James Philbrook) offers her a job providing she changes her material to accommodate the sophisticated publication.
Episodes followed their relationship as they fell in love, married, and established a home in the small town of Ellendale, Connecticut, for the nine-member Massey-Belzer family.
