Nice ’n Juicy was the first home-grown comedy series from ABC Television (Australia). It aired on Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.
The series was set on a run-down orange orchard in the fictitious town of Wyvern Creek, NSW, which was owned by the two oafish and broke Hamlin brothers: Mort (John Ewart) – who ate large quantities of oranges – and his older, more conservative brother Jack (Willie Fennell) who made award-winning spongecakes.
Mort’s occasional love interest was Rosie Withers (Carmen Duncan), daughter of the fearful battleaxe Ada Withers (Gwen Plumb).
