This illustrated story series from Ulster TV in Northern Ireland was the earliest Northern Irish independent production.
The stories were written by Sheila St Clair, illustrated by cartoonist, Rowel Friers and narrated by local TV host Charles Witherspoon, who provided all the character voices. Music was by Stanley Wylie.
Other characters featured in the stories included Danny Dormouse, Hedgie Hedgehog and Osbert the owl.
There were 13 episodes and all were shot in colour.
Sean the Leprechaun was later repeated on Ulster TV with a voice-over in Irish by Séamus Ó Tuama.
While no copies of the show are thought to still exist, six audio stories were released on 7″ vinyl (an example is below).
