Patricia (Ingrid Sylvester) – a teenager with a love of horses – and her brother Beetle (Billy Hamon) arrive at Smuggler’s Cove in Cornwall for their summer holiday.
They befriend local lad Tim (Frazer Hines) and investigate the mystery of Uncle Jem’s (Anthony Sagar) empty lobster pots – is the shady Mr Tregellet (John Dearth) behind it?
Smugglers were once again at large in this Blytonesque tale of holidaymaking kids getting tangled up in nocturnal crimes by the sea.
Location work for the series was based in the seaside fishing harbour town of Looe in Cornwall.
