This Australian television quiz show was produced by the 0-10 Network and hosted by one-time Sydney police officer and Australia’s first television newsreader, Chuck Faulkner. He was assisted by hostess Margaret Britton.
The show was cancelled when Faulkner was arrested and charged following an armed robbery at Channel Ten in March 1966. The robber, Kevin Harry Whittaker, was a house guest of Faulkner’s and used Faulkner’s car in the commission of the crime. He was implicated but later fully acquitted.
The series ended on 7 April 1966, and Faulkner was outcast from the industry. He survived on guest acting appearances in shows such as Homicideand Skippy before bouncing back as Detective Sergeant Keith Vickers in Division 4and later as Warder Sharpley in The Bluestone Boys(1976).
He eventually moved to the US and worked in local radio until his death in 2001.
