The six episodes of this short-lived LWT series were broadcast on Saturday nights in June and July 1972.
Popular 20-piece television dance group The Second Generation (“The 2G’s”) – set up by choreographer Dougie Squires as a successor to The Young Generation, who were TV stars in the 1960s – and a series of guest DJ’s hosted a variety of musical acts, including Slade, The Bee Gees, Lulu, Sandie Shaw, The Move, Electric Light Orchestra, Argent, Sweet Charity, Gilbert O’Sullivan, Osibisa, Al Stewart, Scott Walker, Labi Siffre and Neil Reid.
The guest DJ’s included Jimmy Young, Tony Blackburn, Dave Lee Travis, Tony Brandon, Mike Raven and Ed “Stewpot” Stewart.
Larry Grayson and Spike Milligan also appeared.
Dancer Wei Wei Wong found fame as a Bond girl in The Man with the Golden Gun (1974) and appeared alongside Bob Monkhouse on The Golden Shot. Sadly, she died in April 1999
