Brett (Patrick Allen) was a photographic journalist with a taste for the high life and a penchant for trouble. He was a powerful and ambitious man who would become a tycoon in the Fleming Corporation – but his shady past eventually caught up with him, bringing him into conflict with people he had crossed and crushed on his way to the top.
The BBC series was recorded on location in Malta (which also doubled for Mexico when the script called for it) and made extensive use of flashbacks to illustrate the complicated plotlines.
