This anthology series of six unrelated 30-minute stories was produced by HTV West with the assistance of the Learning Corporation of America and the Ontario Educational Communications Authority.
It aired in the UK on ITV and in Canada on CBS.
The stories were Conan Doyle’s story of a stolen racehorse, Silver Blaze, with Christopher Plummer as Sherlock Holmes and Thorley Waters as Dr Watson; The Rocking Horse Winner by D H Lawrence; The Island by L P Hartley; E F Benson’s tale of the supernatural, Mrs Amworth; The Mannikinby Robert Cloch, starring Keir Dullea and Ronee Blakley; and Ugly Little Boy, based on a short story by Isac Asimov.
