The title characters in this NBC sitcom – Joe and Angela Dumpling (James Coco and Geraldine Brooks) – worked together at a luncheonette on the ground floor of a New York skyscraper that housed the offices of the huge Bristol Oil Company.
Their regular customers were conniving City Councilman Frederick Steele (George Furth), Bristol Oil Company bigwig Charles Sweetzer (George S. Irving) and Mr Sweetzer’s secretary, Bridget McKenna (Jane Connell).
The Dumplings also had a helper in the luncheonette named Cully (Mort Marshall)., Angela’s sister, Stephanie, was played by Marcia Rodd.
Eleven episodes were recorded before a live studio audience but only ten aired.
