This educational series, aimed at children between seven and ten years of age, related basic reading concepts through skits, cartoons, songs and literally anything else that could capture the mind and imagination of a child.
Featured segments included performances by members of the Short Circus; a Spider-Man spoof; a cartoon segment called The Adventures of Letterman; a serial spoof called Love of Chair; a jungle spoof (Jennifer of the Jungle) and parodies of movie monsters with Count Dracula (Morgan Freeman).
Amongst the featured cast were Bill Cosby, Rita Moreno, Zero Mostel, Joan Rivers, Gene Wilder, Mel Brooks, and Irene Cara.
