    David Roper starred in this comedy series from Granada about the luckless life of Charlie Fisher – a keen young agent for the Lancastrian Insurance Company whose benevolent deeds invariably backfire.

    Peter Sallis was the dithering Arthur Simister, Gwen Cherrell played Arthur’s forgetful wife Alice, Sally Kinghorn was the scatterbrained secretary, and Jean Heywood played Charlie’s easily amused landlady.
