17-year-old John Corby’s (Simon Fisher-Turner) policeman father Tom (Glyn Houston) is framed and thrown out of the Metropolitan Police Force after getting too close to the truth about an international organisation which carries out political assassinations.
When Tom is kidnapped while on a camping holiday in Devon, John and his friend Susan (Jan Francis) trek the length and breadth of Britain, becoming ever further embroiled in espionage.
Amid jet boat action and shadowy hitmen, the chase takes them as far afield as Yorkshire, the Lake District and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. The title said it all.
The BBC series aired between 25 September and 18 December 1972 on Mondays.
