Los Angeles mayor Dan Stoddard (Hari Rhodes) created the elite “Most Wanted” unit in the LAPD to deal with crimes and criminals of major magnitude.
Captain Linc Evers (Robert Stack) headed the unit, setting out each week with Sergeant Benson (Shelly Novack) and Office Manners (Jo Ann Harris) to capture a different criminal.
ABC did not renew the Quinn Martin show after a single season. Shelly Novack passed away the following year.
