    Ozzie’s Girls

    24 x 30 minute episodes

After a seven-year absence following the cancellation of The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, the Nelsons were back. This time, the boys had both moved out and Ozzie and Harriet decided to take in a boarder in the boys’ old room in that same old house at 1822 Sycamore Street in the town of Hilldale.

While the Nelsons initially wanted only one boarder, they ended up with two due to a mix-up:  Jennifer MacKenzie (Brenda Sykes) was promised the room first, but her arrival at the Nelson’s home was delayed because her bus was late. Ozzie thought a hippie girl named Susie Hamilton (Susan Sennett) who came to the door inquiring about the room was Jennifer and gave the room to her.

To remedy the situation, the Nelson’s invited both girls to take the room (it had two beds). Jennifer became known as Brenda after the first episode, for reasons which were never explained.

Susan Sennett married rock star Graham Nash (The Hollies and Crosby, Stills and Nash) in 1977. They had three children together.
