This short-lived comedy series from Thames Television starred Bill Maynard and William Franklyn (Shhh . . . you know who) as the only two survivors of a shipping disaster in the Pacific Ocean who were now stranded together on a sandy island (not a million miles from Teddington Lock).
Maynard (star of the very funny Oh No, It’s Selwyn Froggitt) was not very funny here as Anglican cleric Alexander Goodwin. Sadly, neither was Franklyn as ship’s Entertainments Officer Cuthbert Fulworthy.
Goodwin reacted to their plight very philosophically while Cuthbert, a lover of the sweet life, was all for making a raft to get to Australia.
The series aired on Thursday evenings between April and June 1977.
