Seeing a pretty young blonde woman by a swimming pool, a young nerd of a man gathers up the courage to go and speak to her. He launches into a long, embarrassed, stuttering monologue about how he saw the girl and wondered if she might fancy a Pepsi.
As he finishes, the girl replies – in Swedish. Obviously, not having understood a single word.
The ad ends with a burst of movin’, groovin’ rock music and perhaps the longest slogan in British advertising history:
Lipsmackin-thirstquenchin-acetastin-motivatin-goodbuzzin-cooltalkin-highwalkin-fastlivin-evergivin-coolfizzin . . . Pepsi
