This spin-off from Funny Face (1971) aired on Sunday nights on CBS and continued to follow events in the life of Sandy Stockton (Sandy Duncan), a young woman from Illinois who now lived in California and was beginning her career as a student-teacher at UCLA.
Sandy resided in Apartment 2A of the Royal Weatherly Hotel at 130 North Weatherly Boulevard in Los Angeles. To help pay expenses she also worked as a part-time secretary for Bert Quinn (Tom Bosley), the senior member of the Quinn and Cohen Advertising Agency – located at 5099 Lincoln Boulevard.
Other Regulars included Sandy’s neighbours Kay Fox (Marian Mercer) and Alex Lambert (M. Emmet Walsh), a motorcycle cop and aspiring author; Bert’s partner Leonard Cohen (Alfie Wise); Hilary the scatterbrained Quinn and Cohen receptionist (Pamela Zarit), and Ben the janitor (Eric Christmas).
Episodes were filmed before a live studio audience. The theme tune The Kind of Girl She Is was sung by Jack Jones
