Premiering on CBS on 20 September 1970, Tim Conway’s second show for the year (after his unsuccessful aviation-themed sitcom The Tim Conway Show) was a Sunday night variety hour, but it was even less successful than his previous effort.
Conway did, however, line up an impressive list of regulars, including McLean Stevenson, Sally Struthers, Art Metrano, Bonnie Boland, singers Belland and Somerville (during the 1950s, Bruce Belland had sung with The Four Preps and Dave Somerville with The Diamonds), the Tom Hansen Dancers, the Jimmy Joyce Singers, and announcer Ernie Anderson.
Guests over the 14 episodes included Dan Rowan, Dick Martin, Lana Turner, Barbara Feldon, Janet Leigh, Tony Randall, Carol Burnett, Joan Crawford, Carl Reiner, Merv Griffin, David Janssen, Peter Graves, Audrey Meadows, Jane Powell, Imogene Coca, Judy Carne, Steve Lawrence, Steve Allen, Eydie Gormé, Shelley Winters, John Forsythe, Mickey Rooney, Dorothy Lamour, Jackie DeShannon, Walter Brennan, Connie Stevens and Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66.
The final episode aired on 13 December.
