What would you do if you were “left”, all unsuspecting, and had the news broken to you in a pub by your brother-in-law?
Hangdog husband Douglas (Colin Welland) is deserted by a wife we never see and finds his own solution to this tragic, everyday problem. Written by Alun Owen. Aired on 12 June 1975.
What would you do if you were nine years old and living with a young, widowed father who definitely – in your opinion – needs a wife? Suzi (Pheona McLellan) has a plan, but will it work out as she intends?
Author Charles Humphreys clearly knows all about wily schoolgirls and their ruses. Talented Pheona McLellan doesn’t let him down, although the unlikely ending does.
Aired on 19 June 1975.
Lady in park
Love Me To Death
What would you do to avoid paying tax and escape with a cool £2 million? Beth Mortimer
(Gwen Watford) and her lawyer, James Campbell (Robin Bailey) have the perfect plan. But even the most carefully laid scheme may work out unexpectedly.
There are Hitchcock-like twists and counter twists in this rather incredible thriller by David Ambrose. Susan Penhaligon co-stars as an escort girl called Nikki who thinks she stands to get rich quick.
Aired on 26 June 1975.
