Premiering in May 1981, this children’s animation series – produced by the Derek Phillips Film studio (DP Films) – starred an orange creature called Aubrey.
Aubrey discovered a use for soap, which was much more fun than washing; tried to win enough money for a new car at the horse races and in a demolition derby; encountered problems with a do-it-yourself radio kit, and experienced unplanned adventures when an explosion interrupted his cruise on a ship. He also frequently invented contraptions in his garden shed, which he used to solve everyday problems.
Episodes from the series were repeated sporadically in 1982, 1984, 1986 and 1987.
