This CBS sitcom revolved around California teenager Brian McGuire (Raphael Sbarge) who loved life in Beverly Hills until something happened to his family, and he had to move to Brooklyn to stay with his grandfather, Harry Clooney (Dick O’Neill), who runs and lives above a delicatessen.
Brian had a hard time fitting in with the crowd at Buckner High School – he was the only white player on his new basketball team, and his teammates refused to pass him the ball – but he made two friends he could count on, wisecracking tough guy Luther Cain (Chip McAllister) and the very hip Snake Johnson (Guy Killum).
Randee Heller co-starred as their pistol-packing homeroom teacher, Harriet Winners.
The plot was dull, the scripts were weak, and none of the characters was particularly appealing. It became the first cancellation of the 1986-87 season – yanked after just four episodes.
