This short-lived CBS cartoon series from Filmation featured US astronaut John Blackstar (voiced by George DiCenzo) who passes through a black hole while testing a spaceship and crashes on the planet Sagar.
He is rescued by the tiny, gentle Trobbits – little pink-skinned white-haired gnomes who live under the tyranny of The Overlord (Alan Oppenheimer), possessor of one-half of an all-powerful sword (the Power Sword).
Armed with the other half (the Star Sword), Blackstar allies himself to their cause and aids their resistance with the help of his green dragon Warlock, the shape-shifter Klone (Patrick Pinney), and the sorceress Mara (Linda Gary).
