This fluffy American-style domestic sitcom from Granada featured Michele Dotrice and Richard Easton as Kate and Richard Carter, with Dilys Laye and Christopher Benjamin as their neighbours, Dottie and Fred Nelson.
The “action” was decidedly middle-class with the Carters of chintzy Cheshire squabbling about who would use the car or entertaining unwelcome visitors while Kate uttered expletives like “Oh, fairy cakes!” and “Golly gumdrops!”.
Dilys Laye adapted the scripts for the short-lived series.
