This short series from Southern Television – networked by ITV at midday on weekdays – found Diana Dors at home in a luxury penthouse, bedecked in jewels and joined by special guests for some light-hearted chat spiced with music and the well-known Dors brand of outrageous comment.
Diana discussed with her guests such elevating topics as “What is style?”, “Can we really survive in the future?” and “What turns people on?”
She was assisted by resident vocalist Mike McKenzie and comedian Jack Diamond.
Guests who joined Diana on the show included Gerald Harper; Bernie Winters; Spike Milligan; Moira Lister; novelist and ex-MP Jeffrey Archer; football legend and controversial soccer boss Tommy Docherty; comedian Tom O’Connor; painter, novelist and journalist Molly Parkin; Scottish TV presenter Fyfe Robertson; male stripper Dave Cooper; Dalinda (who claimed to be able to foretell the future) and Laurie Taylor, a professor of Sociology.
Unfortunately, Southern Television lost its franchise later in the year, and the show was cancelled.
