A group of Americans travel to Australia during the gold rush era of the late 19th century and introduce a stagecoach line.
This Disney series was an extremely family-oriented and moralistic show – think Little House On The Prairie down-under.
Over three series, the production featured several Australian actors who became well known including Rod Mullinar, Liz Burch, Michael Caton, Gus Mercurio, Martin Lewis, Scott McGregor and Asher Keddie, and American actors Louise Caire-Clark, Jay Kerr, Priscilla Weems and Jonathan Frakes. A young Nicole Kidman played a rough and ready tomboy in some episodes.
The series was filmed on location in an old quarry in bushland between Oxford Falls and Belrose in Sydney, with interiors shot at Eric Porter Studios at North Sydney.
