Yorkshireman Harry Bradley (Frank Windsor) and his beloved Rolls Royce – bought with his redundancy money when he lost his job as a millworker – starred in this family comedy/drama series.
His wife, Jean (Anne Stallybrass) was not best pleased to find herself married to an up-market taxi driver.
Harry and Jean had a daughter, Rita (Anna Lindup and then Elizabeth Edmonds) who was desperately trying to get her bloke, Andy Gregson (Billy Fellows) to the altar. She was aided in this endeavour by her mum, while Harry seemed more inclined towards the carefree Andy.
The characters were introduced in a one hour play a month earlier. It was a pleasant enough series, if not a little hum-drum.
