Forever Green

18 x 60 minute episodes

Former rally driver Jack Boult (John Alderton) and his second wife, ex-nurse Harriet (Alderton’s real-life wife Pauline Collins) move from the bustle of London to start a new life in a cottage in the Somerset countryside, together with Jack’s asthmatic daughter Freddy (Daisy Bates) and son Tom (Nimer Rashed).

With the help of local landowner Lady Patricia Broughall (Paola Dionisotti) – pronounced “Brouel” – and Hilly (Wendy van der Plank) – a girl who lives in a railway carriage in the woods – they become involved in various environmental issues such as badger-baiting and horse-stealing.

This gentle rural comedy-drama from LWT debuted on 26 February 1989 and broke ratings records.
