    Laverne and Shirley in the Army

    This ABC cartoon series was an extension of the successful sitcom Laverne and Shirley.

    The army base, Camp Fillmore, was the setting and stories followed the antics of Laverne DeFazio and Shirley Feeney as privates in the army. Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams provided the voice of their respective characters.

    Their superior was Sergeant Squeely – a talking pig, voiced by Ron Palillo. Sergeant Turnbuckle (Ken Mars) was Squeely’s superior.
