Written by Eric Chappell, this seven-part comedy series from Yorkshire Television concerned Mrs Liz Ridgeway (Onedin Line star Anne Stallybrass), a middle-class divorcee who is visited at her well-appointed house in the country by two allegedly close friends of her son, Christopher.
Appearing out of the fog, the two drifters – Skinner (Enn Reitel) and Oscar (Kevin Lloyd) – are en route to Katmandu, but their one-night stay becomes somewhat prolonged.
Eventually, they realise that they are three of life’s misfits and that they need each other.
Filmed entirely in the studio, Ronnie Baxter was the producer and director.
Anne Stallybrass died on 3 July 2021, aged 82.
