    75 x 15 minute episodes

This Yorkshire Television series for children was based on a learn-to-read book series written by Sheila McCullagh and produced by Ladybird Books.

A Magician (ex Monty Python and Rutles collaborator Neil Innes) told stories about his neighbours with the aid of a Spell Dragon named Toby (voiced by Richard Robinson) and his talking cauldron.

The stories he told were presented as animations, narrated by Kate Lee (who also played a minor character, Aunt Flo).

The Magician lived in a mansion at the end of Puddle Lane – hence the title of the show.

Neil Innes also composed music for the programme.
