A so-so 1985 movie comedy starring Michael J Fox as the title character somehow merited this CBS cartoon version a year later.
As the title said, pubescent Scott Howard (voiced by Townsend Coleman) involuntarily transformed into a hairy creature.
Although Scott was one of a whole family of werewolves in the town of Wolverton – including his Grandma (June Foray), Grandpa (Stacy Keach Sr), his widower dad Harold (James Hampton), and little sister Lupe (Sherry Lynn) – he tried to keep his condition a secret from outsiders.
Only his pals “Stiles” (Donny Most) and “Boof” (Jeannie Elias), knew that the change happened when Scott was angry or exposed to a full moon.
His chief antagonist was Mick McAllister (Craig Sheffer), the star high school athlete who vied with Scott for the hand of cheerleader Pamela Wells (Ellen Gerstell).
Mrs Sesslick (also voiced by June Foray) was the prying next-door neighbour who knew all about Scott and constantly attempted (unsuccessfully) to expose him.
