Essentially a clone of American Bandstand, this syndicated show – which premiered in September 1984 – was taped in New York and hosted by lanky bow tie-wearing 33-year-old Livingston Taylor (younger brother of singer/composer James Taylor).
The show featured a live audience of 50 – 100 kids dancing to recorded music videos and (miming) appearances by contemporary rock artists such as Howard Jones, Tina Turner, The Bangles, and the Psychedelic Furs.
The show was aired daily in some parts of America, and weekly in other areas of the country.
