This short-lived late-night series aired live on the Paramount Channel and starred Dominik Diamond and Kirk Ewing banging on about football, risque showbiz gossip, and “totty” in between providing links to various sitcoms.
Each show featured a phone-in competition called “Dart In The Head”, where viewers could phone in and be asked three patronisingly simple questions. After each correct answer, the guest “totty” for the evening threw a dart at a dartboard, with the highest-scoring contestant winning a goodie bag.
The show is best remembered for a controversial appearance by Mash and Peas (Matt Lucas and David Walliams), who refused to sit down, answered every other question with “don’t know”, and suggested Diamond had been sacked from his previous job as host of Gamesmaster and was mentally challenged.
Finally, while taking part in “Dart In The Head”, David Walliams twice threw a dart a little too close to Diamond’s head, prompting the response, “throw it across my head again, and I’m kicking the shit out of you”.
Walliams and Diamond had previously been friends at university and worked together in a comedy troupe but they never spoke again after this incident.
