In the Italian countryside, a clinic for mentally unstable but wealthy women is terrorised by a maniac with a fetish for medieval weaponry.
Psychiatrist Dr Clay (Klaus Kinski) and his team are clueless as to who is behind these brutal crimes. Is it a member of his staff, or has one of his sexually frustrated patients finally snapped and started to act out their perverse fantasies on their fellow inmates?
Shot in less than two weeks, the film – a mix of decapitation, strangulation, hatchet, arrow and iron-maiden murders with nude massages, lesbianism, female masturbation, and shower and bathing scenes – was released in some markets as Slaughter Hotel.
Featuring some of Italian exploration cinema’s finest beauties – including Rosalba Neri, Gioia Desideri and Monica Strebel – and English beauty Margaret Lee, Cold Blooded Beast (originally titled La Bestia Uccide a Sangue Freddo) is a sleazy delight for anyone with a passing interest in the seedier side of the Giallo genre.
And if you enjoy looking at naked women, this is the film for you.
