A lounge singer called Lolita (Yolanda Love) returns to her hometown and puts together a team of shapely women fighters – including a yoga enthusiast and a prostitute – to go after ‘Buddha’ (Joey Ginza), a mob boss who murdered her kindly shopkeeper uncle for not paying protection fees.
What ensues is a dull cavalcade of fight scenes and sex scenes, with the smutty elements getting most of the attention. At regular intervals, cowriter/director Stephen Gibson stops the film dead in its tracks to linger on some carnal encounter that unfolds in real-time.
Released in 3-D (truly!), all the usual ‘Blaxploitation‘ elements were present – funk music, softcore porn, and martial arts. Sadly the plot wasn’t.
Released as Wildcat Women in some markets, it’s badly filmed, acted, and recorded. But it’s fun to watch after a few beers.
