Marcus Graham (Eddie Murphy) is a suave, wealthy marketing ace for a large cosmetics firm in New York. He’s also a sharp-dressing guy on the make – a wolf who goes after every lamb in the meadow.
But his life changes when a larger conglomerate devours his company, and he meets his dynamic new boss, the predatory Jacqueline Broyer (Robin Givens), who loves basketball and always assumes the upper hand in lovemaking.
Marcus thinks he’s in love with her and feels lost when she treats him with the casualness with which he usually treats the women in his life.
When he eventually falls for the cloyingly sincere, angel-faced art director Angela Lewis (Halle Berry)
Gerard (David Alan Grier) and Tyler (Martin Lawrence) are his comical best friends.
There are “special guest appearances” from Eartha Kitt (as Lady Eloise, the cosmetics mogul who takes over the company), Grace Jones (as a supermodel named Helen Strangé) and Geoffrey Holder (as a director of commercials).
