Selma (Noreen Corcoran), Cynthia (Linda Marshall), and Betty (Nancy Spry) are trying to raise money to save their sorority house (Alpha Beta) when they run into Duke (Martin West), Brian (Steven Rogers), and Wayne (Aron Kincaid), who try to impress them by claiming to know The Beatles.
Believing that The Beatles have agreed to fly from England to perform at their fundraiser, the girls arrange for a big musical show and begin a full-scale promotion.
When the Fabs don’t show, the ingenious girls imitate The Beatles complete with “yeah, yeah, yeahs!” Then they bring down the house when they sing, I Want To Marry a Beatle.
The Beach Boys perform the title song along with Little Honda and The Lonely Sea. Lesley Gore (pictured above) and The Crickets (La Bamba) also perform.
