This second sequel has nothing to do with the first and second films in the Halloween series and Michael Myers is nowhere in sight.
In Santa Mira, California, a large mask-making company called Silver Shamrock has opened up, selling popular Halloween masks to children across the country.
Dr Dan Challis (Tom Atkins), a local doctor, stumbles on a plot by insane toymaker Conal Cochran (Dan O’Herlihy), a silver-tongued old Irish man who is tired of being tricked on 31 October by mischievous children and has decided to wreak havoc on the entire unsuspecting child population of America.
Cochran has stolen a five-ton rock from Stonehenge which causes mutations in any person who wears a Silver Shamrock mask and with the help of an army of indestructible human-lookalike robots who tug people’s heads off, Cochran sets about his dastardly plans.
Dr Challis and Ellie (Stacey Nelkin) – a young woman whose father was recently killed – enter the Silver Shamrock factory, where they are captured by Cochran. Challis escapes and, with the help of Ellie, he leaves the control centre in flames while he races to get help and to stop the Silver Shamrock television commercials from airing.
But Cochran will have the final Halloween trick of the night.
