This ABC drama series starred former Ben Casey star Vincent Edwards as Matt Lincoln, a Los Angeles–based psychiatrist.
Matt practised preventive psychiatry in an effort to assist people in the early stages of emotional distress to avoid further, more complicated treatment.
Gehtto-raised Tag (Chelsea Brown), medical student Jimmy (Felton Perry), police officer Kevin (Michael Larrain) and Ann (June Harding) – who was working on a master’s degree – assisted Matt by manning a hotline telephone service as volunteers.
Matt Sr. (Dean Jagger) – also a physician – was his father. Matt also taught at a university,
The series premiered as a two-hour film on The ABC Sunday Night Movie on 3 March 1970 and was originally named Dial Hot Line.
The one-hour episodes aired from September 1970 to January 1971.
