Don Hatton (Anthony Starke) is an officer with the Seattle Police Department in Washington.
He lives at First and Hastings with his new wife, Jan (Kim Gillingham), and his siblings Marianne (Anastasia Fielding), Kate (Alison McMillan), Brian (Michael DeLuise) and Roger (Gabriel Damon).
Also living with them is Don’s uncle, Jake Hatton (Danny Thomas), a retired comedian and vaudeville performer who has moved in to help Don care for his younger brothers and sisters – a role he has had since their parents were killed in a car accident.
