Two goofy innocents in New York – Harry ‘Slim’ Pierce (Abbott) and Willie ‘Tubby’ Piper
(Costello) – are tricked into paying $5,000 for a bottom-of-the-barrel movie studio.
The duo trek to Hollywood to confront the con man, only to turn into the wackiest stuntmen ever to turn the movies upside down.
Bud and Lou get involved with studio Indians, Mack Sennett (father of the Keystone Kops comedies), bathing beauties, and the immortal Keystone Kops in between crazy chases, pies in the face and an across-the-tracks race with a train.
