Burt Lancaster stars as Massai, an angry Apache Indian warrior who boldly crusades for justice for his tribe and then settles down. For once, the men with the feathers are not the “baddies”.
There are some good action scenes, but the unlikely story languishes in spots.
Jean Peters fills in the background as Lancaster’s supportive squaw. John McIntire and Charles Bronson (as Charles Buchinsky) appear in supporting roles.
